Building a community for all things Triathlon, Cycling, and Running
Beginnings are scary
Close your eyes and think back to your first race. The butterflies. The sleepless night of tossing and turning. A journey that included hundreds of hours of training. What started as a simple curiosity quickly found you in the deep end. But at the end of the day, you’ve planned. You’ve planned out every scenario. You’ve planned the course. Your nutrition. The “what if” possibility of getting a flat. You’ve planned it all and you’re ready. That’s how I’m feeling with launching Front Pack. Beginnings are hard and we’re drinking from a fire hose. We’ve planned. We’re ready. It’s time to go.
Why Front Pack, why now
The world of endurance is complex and vast. It’s not unified online but exists in a fragmented state. You’ve got a dozen places to find news, coaches, results, standings, nutrition, and team members. Buying/selling equipment? Yup, there are even more places for that too. But what if you could do all of this in one place.
Front Pack is here for endurance athletes, created by endurance athletes.
This has been a business idea in the back of my head for years and I always ask the question – how is triathlon, cycling, and running so centered on community yet online, it doesn’t feel like one.
Don’t get me wrong. Teams and local clubs have their communities in Slack or Facebook but what if there was a connected fabric that brought every endurance athlete together under one roof. Front Pack is becoming a reality now because we’re ready; endurance has never been more popular and people want a place to co-exist; not spread across Google, Facebook, Reddit, Marketplace and Craigslist. Front Pack is going to be a unified endurance community.

Where we’re starting
We won’t lie. Front Pack is bootstrapped and will start modestly. We’re excited to see how things progress and grow. We’ll learn what the community likes, dislikes and wants more of. Will we be perfect? No. But we have a plan and will work towards it, but in no way are we rushing to the finish line. Heck, we just started.
This week, we launched v.1 of Front Pack.
A News Aggregator available today for free at our home page. It exists as a place to go and catch up on the latest endurance news from around the web; focusing on news, articles, product reviews, social posts and YouTube videos from some of our favorite channels. All interesting. All in one place.
The Front Pack Newsletter will be in your inbox every Friday. You live busy lives and our newsletter will be a collection of the best endurance news from the week, including new products, education, training gear and deals/discounts. We’ll keep things light, and easily digestible.
Social channels (Instagram and X/Twitter) will highlight the top news of the day + breaking new across all these industries.
Where we’re going
Front Pack is your endurance Hub not because of where we are today, but where we’re going. Our future plans and updates will include some of the following:
Profiles: Be yourself. Add a headshot, your country, upload images, videos. Link to your social profiles, and training platforms. Add race results like times and rankings, your team, upcoming races and more.
Coaching and Teams: Coaches and teams will be able to do the same. Build out your profile and what makes your team unique, what athletes are you coaching, connect with current athlete and solicit new ones. Post private or public messages.
Brands: From bikes, to shoes, goggles, or nutrition, you’ll be able to get the real-real on what people are using, and what they recommend staying away from. The community will review products and the best from each brand will rise to the top.
Communication: Create public messages. Highlight race tactics, or course intel. Ask questions on anything you want to know.
Marketplace: Communicate with the community to buy/sell gear in a trusted place, knowing who you’re dealing with.
Standings: Whether its professional triathlon, cycling, or running; we’ll have up to date standings of your favorite races and tours.
And more: So. much. more. We’ve got a ton of ideas and ways to create something truly unique for this community and hope you join. Not just for the short term but for the marathon.
So that’s it. Right now, we’ll have our News Aggregator, Newsletter and social channels. We encourage you to dive in and write to us with feedback or highlight a publication, IG or YT channel you think the community needs to see on the site. Our email is always open.
Stay moving…✌🏼
