Is this the Sexiest E-bike, Ever?

I’ve never said that before but wow, these Litespeed e-bikes look amazing. 10/10. Crown it.

Yooo. I am shook. Is this not the best-looking e-bike you’ve ever seen?

When the email came through asking us, “any interest in e-bikes?” We thought same old boring, e-bike.

But no. Litespeed dropped a new lineup of titanium road and gravel e-bikes, and the first thing we noticed is that nobody on the group ride is going to clock this thing as an e-bike.

It’s essentially the ninja of e-bikes. You look at it and think “gorgeous titanium bike,” and then someone tells you there’s a motor in there and your brain does a little record scratch.

Say whaaaaaa…

There’s no fat down tube and no battery hump. It’s a normal-looking beast that says ride me instead of glide me. After years of e-bikes that look like they swallowed a water heater, we love this.

New Sound, Same Soul

Litespeed built these around the MAHLE X20 system, a lightweight drive made for high-performance bikes.

It isn’t putting you to the front pack but puts out 275 watts of peak power with a 250 Wh battery and assists up to 20 mph.

It’s a Class 1 setup, so you only get help while you pedal. There are three modes (Eco, Sport, and Boost), and Litespeed says the pedaling feel stays natural.

The frames are what make it. Litespeed custom-formed new Superform eSL6/4 and Pure eLW titanium tubesets to hide the system and keep the weight down, and every bike is handbuilt in Chattanooga, the same factory that has made frames for World Champions and Tour de France stage winners. HED is also supplying hand-built road and gravel wheelsets laced to the MAHLE hub motor, with carbon or alloy rims.

Litespeed CEO Chris Pascarella admitted he resisted the idea at first because he’d bought into the stigma that an e-bike is a sign of surrender. We respect the honesty. His take now is that these bikes are about amplifying the ride. He even says you can commute to work “without risk of hitting Zone 2,” which we’re taking as the funniest sentence in any bike press release this year.

The Gravel Lineup

The Overdrive is the flagship gravel bike and is completely race-inspired, starting with the geometry, 50mm of tire clearance, and the sheet-formed Superform eSL6/4 top tube.

It ain’t cheap though and starts at $12,495 with Shimano GRX 1X Di2 and HED Lancaster carbon wheels.

The Distortion is the all-rounder. It uses the Pure eLW tubeset, clears 54mm tires, and has adventure-ready geometry for bigger days on rougher roads. It starts at $9,995 with SRAM Rival AXS XPLR and HED Lancaster carbon wheels.

The Road Lineup

The Sustain is the race-bred road bike. Litespeed calls it the lightest, fastest, and most efficient titanium road e-bike out there. It has the Superform eSL6/4 top tube, Shimano Ultegra Di2, and HED V45 carbon wheels, and it starts at $12,495.

The Harmonizer is the endurance option. It’s built from the Pure eLW tubeset and has relaxed endurance geometry and 35mm tire clearance. It comes with Shimano 105 Di2 and HED V45 carbon wheels, and it starts at $9,995.

Not Cheap

These aren’t cheap. The starting prices run from $9,995 to $12,495, which is big, big money.

Litespeed also didn’t publish a complete bike weight in the release. For a brand built on “lightest titanium frames in the world,” we want that number, because we’re thinking it will be quite heavy given it has a motor.

Still, the case is easy to understand. If you want to keep up with a faster partner, stretch your mileage, or just feel 10 years younger on a climb, you can do it on a bike that doesn’t look like a compromise.

Every bike can be configured and ordered now at litespeed.com.

We haven’t ridden one yet. No idea if we ever will, but if you’re looking for the best-looking e-bike we’ve ever seen, this is it.
