Like us, you’ve optimized your nutrition and have come up with a sleep stack that would make someone with narcolepsy jealous.
Same with training. You have a structured plan, a dedicated recovery protocol, and a whole house full of gear that costs as much as a brand-new SUV.
But. With all of that, you’ve probably never given your lungs a second thought. Unless of course, you’re sick.
Meet Climatic and the L Max

That’s the gap Climatic is betting on. And today, they’re making their move.
L Max is a daily inhaled lung health device designed to cleanse and clear airways for easier breathing and improved performance.
Their pitch is direct. Lung health has been reactive care — translation: you don’t think about it until something’s wrong — and they want you to make it a daily habit like brushing your teeth.
The product is a daily-dose inhaled dry powder system that takes under 30 seconds to use.
3 Years of Research

This is where most new wellness products collapse.
Climatic isn’t leaning on “we think this works” language.
The company has spent three years on research, led by their Chief Science Officer, an Adjunct Associate Professor of Medicine at Duke, and backed by partnership work with Mount Sinai Medical Center.
The headline finding from this research?
A single use improved mucus clearance by more than 50%, with effects lasting up to eight hours. Results that have been replicated across independent tests and are in preparation for peer-reviewed publication.
Results that Matter

For athletes, all we care about is the numbers. How will this help my performance? From a five-week study, Climatic reported:
- 98% of athletes reported breathing easier during workouts
- 6% average time trial improvement
- 80% saw HRV improvement within two weeks
It is worth noting, this was a small pilot study of 13 athletes and not a large-scale clinical trial but the signs are promising, and the direction is consistent.
The company is actively running a larger double-blind, placebo-controlled trial wrapping this summer and we’ll update you when we hear more.
Race Legal?

L Max has been third-party tested for safety and formulated with a targeted blend of all-natural, WADA-compliant ingredients, backed by clinical safety and efficacy research.
That’s the important part for athletes. The L Max is WADA-compliant.
Built by Science and a Board of Elite Athletes
L Max was developed in collaboration with leading pulmonary experts, including Dr. Bruce Johnson, Ph.D., and Dr. Raghu Chivukula, MD, Ph.D., helping translate decades of respiratory science into a system designed for daily use.
Beyond the research, L Max was tested with over 200 elite athletes, world champions, and Olympians.
Add in the fact that the board is not your typical tie-wearing MBA business nerds, but instead elite athletes, including Tim O’Donnell, Sara Hall, Matt Hanson, Ph.D., and Daniel Plews, Ph.D. and L Max may just be on to something.
“With L Max, I feel like I find my rhythm a little bit quicker,” said Tim O’Donnell, World Champion triathlete. “As I’ve gotten older, warming up includes getting my lungs to expand, and normally I’m deep into a run before my breathing feels right. With L Max, I feel confident, like I can get after it right now.”
Our 11-Day Lung Check

We’ve been using L Max for 11 days now. Every morning, a five-second pull from the blue box and we’re on with the day. The mint flavor tells you you’re doing it right. It’s a subtle but distinct signal that something is actually happening. It’s not visible but the only way your brain knows you did it, correctly.
Do we feel like our lungs are stronger? Possibly. Do we know for certain? We don’t.
And that’s the most honest thing we can say right now.
Here’s the complication: we’re healthy. We’re not congested. We’re not dealing with chronic respiratory issues.
Which means the thing L Max is most designed to do — clear mucus, support airway function is hard to measure when there’s not a whole lot to clear.
It’s like testing a water filter when your tap water is already pretty clean.
And that changes how we think about who this product is really for.
There are two audiences here.
The athlete chasing a performance edge — improved time trial output, better HRV, faster recovery. And then everyone else — the person who gets congested every Spring, and whose everyday solutions aren’t cutting it when they just want to breathe easier.
L Max may serve both, but it’s going to feel very different depending on which camp you’re in.
For us, the performance data question is still open and maybe its just us, but our lungs have never felt stronger.
Is it all in our head? Maybe. We’re holding that test for the 30-day mark and we’ll report back with actual numbers.
What we can say is this: for the price and the promise, we don’t see a reason not to try it.
And we’ll be honest, we’re almost looking forward to getting our next cold because that’s probably when L Max shows if it actually helps.
